Instructor - Bob Hart
Bob Hart is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Instructional Technology at the University of Georgia.  From 1994 until July, 1998 he served as  director of the Georgia Statewide Academic and Medical System's Academic Programming Office.  GSAMS is a two-way interactive video conferencing system with over 400 sites.  GSAMS sites encompass all levels of education -- K-12, technical institutions, colleges and universities, government agencies, and other organizations such as Zoo Atlanta and the Fernbank Science Center. The GSAMS Programming Offices was the information clearinghouse for the network.

Currently he chairs the University System of Georgia (34 public colleges and universities) Distance Learning Committee --  that completed a Distance Learning Report for the Chancellor in March, 1997.  In October, 1997 this committee developed the structure for the Georgia Learning Alliance  -- "a collaboration of University System institutions which exists on behalf of the System for the purpose of extending the reach of educational opportunities primarily for the citizens of Georgia, but inevitably for the nation and the world."  He also was  a member of the committee that wrote the Chancellor's Distance Learning and Instructional Technology Report in 1995.

Bob has taught at all levels, including the 4th and 5th grade, undergraduate and graduate courses at the university level, and adult learners through the Elder Hostel program.

He was director of the Center for Educational Technology in the College of Education at The University of Georgia for nine years and during the 1970's was a television and motion picture production officer in the United States Air Force for four years.

He has been involved in successfully writing over $1,000,000 in grants.

He enjoys painting, racquetball, writing, teaching folks how to write their life story, and going to the theater.
